PANCAKE DAY

Today is NATIONAL PANCAKE DAY!

HURRAY!!!

So instead of fight the crowds who love a stack of free pancakes from IHOP I figured save a headache and ($4 for a plate of bacon that Connor is sure to need) we stayed home and made them ourselves.

Nothing fancy just some nummers pancakes with strawberries, bananas, and powder sugar (I forgot to grab some whipped creme).

we all had jobs to do
clearly Connors was the most fun!

i'm not sure if that is her finger or not
oh wait it's just a strawberry

add a bit or a lot of syrup and voila
yummy deliciousness!

Happy pancake day to all!

A TREE

These pictures actually belong to Deann but they are so beautiful I wanted everyone to see them!

We went out to Estacada to get our tree and Deann met us to hang out. We grabbed some food first in Carver, of course, and while we were at the tree farm Deann took pictures of us all. These are just a few of them!

We are so lucky, we love Auntie Deann!!

Christmas is the only time of the year to ever love trees!

CASEY'S 6TH BIRTHDAY

Okay, So I am aware that there are a few (4) months from Connor's birthday to Casey's and there is a lot that has happened in those few months, but here is my Casey's birthday and the rest will come later!

August 23, 2011

She was born August 23rd at 9:45am.
I love this little girl more than anyone will ever know and I am so glad that Heavenly Father gave her to me. She loves anything pink, frilly, sparkly, feathery and little because the smaller something is the cuter it is!
This year for her birthday she could not decide what she wanted but she did know that for breakfast she wanted waffles and cream, for lunch she wanted turkey and mayo sandwiches with Cheetos, and for dinner pork chops and salad.
Oh Casey!!

Here is my birthday girl and she is ready to be 7!
she told me the morning of her birthday, "I can now face my fears because I am 7!"

Me Connor and Gene talked her into having turkey and mayo sandwiches at subway, she caved!
Goldie her bunny went everywhere with her!

Gene was here visiting, YAY!
Gene and Connor both tried to hide when I took their picture,
Gene really thought he could hide behind the poster, silly boys!

every birthday Casey has involves Chuck E Cheese somehow,
we went and the kids played games until 100 tokens were gone!

they love this ride!

After dinner it was time for cheesecake and root beer floats!

I only now realize I have no pictures of her opening her presents. Sheesh! Connor got her a watch and a little ceramic bear that holds a locket, she really wanted that bear. We got her a hamster which I regretted from the moment we brought it home, and Gene brought her a gift from Grandma and Grandpa Gonzales AND HIM, a new jacket and skinny jeans which she cannot live without!
Grandma and Grandpa Barrera got her the exact Lalaloopsie doll she was asking for, and the next day she got a dress that unknown to them was also the exact dress she wanted for the first day of school!
Noni and Papa sent her a pkg with a sparkly hat that Casey has not stopped wearing since she got it! a jacket, curlers, a watch, and a sparkly shoe key chain for her backpack.
Grandma and Grandpa Logan sent her cash which she is dying to go spend!
She has been extremely spoiled at 7 years old!

We waited until the following Saturday to have a friend party and when I asked who she wanted to invite she could only think of three friends even after I told her she could invite more people. I conned her into inviting two of Connors friends but they couldn't come. Connor then decided it was not his kind of party and went to work with David for the day! Casey wanted to have a tea party, and because one of my bff's in SD had just thrown a tea party for her twins and blogged it I knew exactly what I needed to do on a much smaller scale! I went to the goodwill and found a tea set, Joann's for some pink lace for a table cloth, and then made all the necessary tea party sized treats! He girlfriends came over and they all had such a good time, Casey could not have been happier for the day!

I am so proud of my little girl and she already can't wait til her next birthday because she will finally get to be baptized. She still can't figure out why she has to wait so much longer than Connor had to, even after we told her, "he had to wait eight years just like you do!" We are lucky to have her in our family, she is our sun!

Happy Birthday BabyCakes!

CONNOR'S 8TH B-DAY

April 28, 2011

It is not so long ago that I remember bringing this boy home from the hospital without a name and feeling like me and David were playing house. It is eight years later and I still can't believe my boy is growing up.

Breakfast birthday boy!

Happy birthday Boy!

He got to open his gift from Casey and we got him a couple small gifts. Casey got him a big Bionicle which he loved, and we got him a Mario Bros. shirt, and Brain Age for his DS.

all sugared up from Chocolate Chip pancakes
and ready for school!

After school we hung out until David got home from work. We made Connor hide in the room while we got his present out and covered. When he came out to the living room there waiting for him was his brand new bike and helmet. He was so happy. I took pictures but they are gone.
my camera is falling apart and taking it out on the pictures.

For dinner Bobo wanted Pizza and Bowling. Well in that case we have to go to, Big Al's where we could get both plus arcade bonus! It was so much fun! apart from almost killing myself trying to retrieve the ball stuck in the gutter.

Where do they come from?
it's magic!

I love my boy!

In 3rd place we have
Casey

2nd place goes to
Connor

and our 1st place champion is
David
Clearly I was in 4th place and not pictured, but it was fun getting there!

Big Al's was awesome, but it was a school night and it was time to go back home for cupcakes and ice cream.

After last years cupcake fiasco the Boy told me to just get something that tasted good so I got us some fancy cupcakes from the bakery. We were all stuffed from dinner that none of the cupcakes got eaten. We left for San Diego the next day and they were left in the fridge only to be thrown away when we returned. so sad!
ANYWHO!

Happy Birthday baby!

we love birthdays!
my 6 and 8 year old kiddies

We sent them to bed shortly after because I still needed time to weep. Why because I do!
But.....
The party was far from over. Connor actually opted out of the friend party so while we were home we had two more parties for him. One at the Logan's house and another at the Gonzales'. He was beyond excited to have his Aunties, Uncles, Cousins, Gma's, and Gpa's to celebrate this year with him!

Alicia and Casey
and their amazing cupcake creations

Lukas

Connor and Joaquin
ready for battle

Clearly I did not take enough pictures because I only have these to show for it. He had an incredible birthday this year because of everyone who loves him so much!

I love you for loving him!

L & L

APRIL 15-20 2011

For spring break (theirs not ours) I got two little visitors!

Lillian and Lindsey
L & L

We had a good time and I was very, very sad to see them leave when the week was over. I took a few pictures but not enough. I love my little sister and I was so happy she came up here to see me!

The mandatory Carver visit!

Lilli sitting at the counter Stephanie got her
"veggie plate"

At the Twilight table

where's the food?

gotcha!

After breakfast we went to St. Helens, which is along the river. I loved the little town and when I say little I mean it! There we saw the house they used as Bella's house. It was private property so we had to stay off the lawn!

this was all I could get out of them
it was a little embarrassing

FOR THEM!!!
look I'm falling in the driveway like Bella!
(this is for you Christy)

The girls sitting outside a little shop in town
supposedly the prom dress shop

She had to it was a little ally between two buildings

After St Helens we had just enough time to go pick up the kiddies from school. When we got home the girls vanished into the room and when I realized I went snooping and this is how I found them.

Teenagers!

Lindsey top bunk
Lilli bottom bunk
"I get top!"
you know from BIG

After school the day before the girls were doomed to leave we all went downtown. This is a picture of the kids in the parking garage, the one and only picture from that day.

The next day the fun was over, I love you girls!
